A 2018 Fall Seminar Pre-Conference Workshop with
Louise St Denis, PLCGS
WOW! I bet you didn’t think you would be asked this question at a genealogy conference: "Do you know how to read?" There’s a good reason we are asking this question. Learning proper genealogical analysis and evaluation techniques requires being exposed to best practices via case studies. These types of case studies appear in peer-reviewed journals. This workshop will help you better understand this type of more scholarly articles. You will be required to read the full content of the assigned article several times. You will be given guidelines and the article before the workshop to be better prepared for an in-depth discussion of the article’s methodologies.
This three-hour pre-conference workshop will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the workshop starting at 1:00 p.m. There will be one 30-minute break midway. The workshop will be held at the Hotel Marshfield Best Western Premier Collection, 2700 S. Central Avenue, Marshfield, Wisconsin.
There is an onsite bar and restaurant for snacks and beverages. You may bring your lunch with you prior to the workshop.
Registration is $30.00.
This workshop is limited to 50 individuals. Please e-mail the office to verify that space is still available before registering. Separate payment from the Fall Seminar for this event is requested.
