The Green County Genealogical Society will present “Obtaining Military Records” The presented by Clayton Ruegsegger.

The presentation is June 7, 2025 at 10 am in the Monroe Public Library community room on the second floor.

 

Clayton will explain how people can obtain military service records for both themselves and for others, including deceased relatives.

He will have an emphasis on the records of the deceased relatives for genealogical purposes.

Clayton was born here in Monroe and raised on a farm outside of South Wayne. He served as an infantryman in the United States Marine Corps and the Army Airborne. He spent a few years in Iraq during the Iraq War. He has served as the Green County Veterans Service Officer since January 2010. He has had an interest in history and military history since he was a child.
